Dating Dot Coms.....

Brenda knocked on my door all excited.
She found the man of her dreams on-line.
It was one of those matchmaking websites.
He was ssssoooo Perfect!
The computers matched them at sssooo many levels!

That very morning....
Brenda & Michael met for coffee at a local diner.
The booths were equipped with paper placements.
Brenda artfully placed a pen on the table and began doodling....
They each expressed their thoughts...
Enough for me to decipher their common ground.
The reality....not the contrived for effect.

Brenda tried to convince me that he was dynamic, confident, sensitive, well-educated...refined.
Michael loved art and skydiving.
He traveled the world.

I painstakingly tried to find this Thomas Crowne type of a man from the several written placements and napkins that she carefully placed before me. There was such a stark contrast between Brenda's outgoing, refined and intelligent writing and this other crude illegible stuff before me. Michael liked to complicate and enhance his style with suggestion and intrigue. He liked to create a sense of vague status appeal to those who became mesmerized by his seductive techniques.

This Michael was full of lies!
The evidence was in the handwriting.
But did Brenda want to listen?!
It was easier for her to listen to Michael than her inner voice.
She sensed that he was a bit not for real....
His handwriting confirmed her gut.
She wanted to BELIEVE.
Then came his text.....
