I watched Marian write in front of me..
Her rigid self-control..
Like she was wearing a uniform.
She couldn't ...wouldn't dare express
How she really felt.
She conditioned herself to adapt to what others wanted...
But in actuality....it was what SHE thought that they wanted.
She hardly listened to them....
Only heard what she wanted to hear.
Soooo used to squashing her true feelings and desires.
Her character is the type to need to do the right thing...
She had to do the correct thing....
She had to make sure that everyone and everything around her was perfect!
But her handwriting revealed all her bottled up anger...
She felt embarrassed...
But needed to hide it by manipulating the truth about her life.
This made her feel sad and depressed.
I asked her what her husband was like.
She adamantly stated that HE was the perfectionist.
She described his writing as being messy.
I gently stated that she had mistaken notions and that I could help her ease her burden.
She was stuck in her original energy point of perfection...
She didn't know how to break away...
Introspection and having fun were her remedy.
But the key is...
Does she want to break away?
She's in her 60's...
Is it too late?
NO....but she has got to want to see herself.
